Knotted Wrack, Ascophyllum nodosum

This elegant portrait of the Knotted Wrack was painted from a specimen I collected while beach combing in Jerusalem, Rhode Island.  This seaweed is very common in New England and provides cover for many creatures in the intertidal zone.  The original painting used to create these prints was done in watercolor.
